WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – Eugene P. O’Connor, Jr., CFP,® Senior Wealth Manager at WNY Asset Management, has earned the Certified Financial Planner designation by successfully completing the CFP® Comprehensive Examination administered by the Certified Financial Planning Board.
O’Connor is a seasoned financial planning professional with more than 25 years of investment and financial planning experience. He joined the WNY Asset Management team in 2012 and has demonstrated a strong commitment to client service and ongoing professional development.
CFP Board is a non-profit organization acting in the public interest by fostering professional standards in personal financial planning through its setting and enforcement of the education, examination, experience, ethics and other requirements for CFP® certification. The CFP® certification marks identify professionals who have met the high standards of competency and ethics established and enforced by CFP Board.
CFP® professionals must pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Examination, pass CFP Board’s Fitness Standards for Candidates and Registrants, agree to abide by CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Rules of Conduct which put clients’ interests first and comply with the Financial Planning Practice Standards which spell out what clients should be able to reasonably expect from the financial planning engagement.
A graduate of The University of Notre Dame, O’Connor has been active in the community. He is the former president and endowment committee chair for Ronald McDonald House and served on the corporate gifts committee for Catholic Charities. He has also served as president of the Central Amherst Little League.
